Frequently asked questions
Answers about access, privacy, security, and Retivo features.
Access & beta
What does RETIVO mean?
RETIVO stands for Retirement Exploration Through Inputs, Variables & Outcomes.
How do I get access?
Retivo is in closed beta. Request access; new accounts are reviewed and approved before activation. Approved applicants receive an email.
Does it cost anything?
No. The closed beta is currently free — there is no billing, trial, or subscription. If a paid plan is offered later, its full terms will be shown before anyone can choose it.
Are the amounts on the pricing page final?
No. They are estimates for a possible future launch and may change. Beta participants will be notified before any paid plan is introduced.
Privacy & security
Is my financial data private?
Your financial workspace is encrypted on your device before it syncs to the cloud, and the stored copy is the encrypted version, so your balances and plans are not readable from server data alone.
Can the operator see my data?
The service is operated by Badger Ventures LLC. Your financial workspace is encrypted on your device before it syncs, so its contents are not readable from server data alone. The service does keep some readable account and operational data: your name, birthdate, and email; sign-in and security records; user, device, and sync identifiers; and IP address, user agent, and logs as applicable — described in the Privacy Notice.
Do you connect to my bank?
No. Retivo does not connect to banks or brokerage accounts. You enter account information manually.
Do you track me or sell my data?
No advertising trackers, no analytics pixels, and your data is not sold. The hosting and security systems still process network and operational data to run and protect the service, and this site stores your theme and pricing-view choice in your browser.
How do I sign in?
With a passkey for password-free sign-in, or a password plus a required second step (two-factor). Email verification confirms your email address.
What it does
What can it model?
Federal income tax, required retirement-account withdrawals, Social Security (with a tool that compares claim ages 62–70), Roth conversions (with a break-even-rate calculation), qualified charitable distributions, Medicare surcharges, health-insurance subsidies, and a 10,000-scenario stress test, optionally with a spending range check.
Are the results consistent?
The deterministic modes repeat the same calculation for the same app version and inputs, so you can compare scenarios on a like-for-like basis. Accuracy still depends on your assumptions and the built-in data.
How does it project my accounts forward?
Three ways, side by side. Planned grows each account at the return you set. Historical uses the return calculated from each account's balance history for comparison with your planned return. A 10,000-scenario stress test runs your plan through decades of market history for typical, pessimistic, and bad-luck outcomes.
Where does the market data come from?
From more than 75 years of historical market and inflation data. There are no live market feeds; your projections are built on your assumptions and that history.
Does it work for couples?
Yes. You can plan as a couple, including spousal and survivor Social Security and each person's own retirement and claim ages.
Scope, data & disclaimer
Is this financial advice?
Badger Ventures LLC operates Retivo as hosted software for informational retirement modeling. The service does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice and does not create an advisory, fiduciary, or professional relationship. Results are hypothetical estimates based on user inputs, built-in assumptions, simplified rules, and historical data; they are not predictions or guarantees. Verify material figures against your records and primary sources. Always have your analysis reviewed by an appropriate qualified professional, such as a financial planner, CPA, or attorney, before making financial decisions.
Is Retivo only for the U.S.?
Yes. Retivo is built for U.S. retirement planning, uses U.S. dollars, and models selected U.S. federal tax and Social Security rules.
What accounts are supported?
Supported account types include 401(k), 403(b), 457(b), TSP, traditional and Roth IRA, brokerage, HSA, pensions, and CDs.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. Generate a PDF and export your full workspace. Deleting your account removes your live account and synced workspace data. Some records persist for a limited time: legal-acceptance evidence is kept about seven years, and time-limited backup and recovery copies expire under the Privacy Notice.
The canonical Terms of Use and Privacy Notice live on the app.
